Professionally trained cat groomers are in high demand in todays grooming salons. The PCGAA has implemented a mutifaceted curriculum designed to sharpen your skills and fine tune any area that you feel you need assistance in.

Become a member and order the CMCG Certification Guidelines below. For your convenience, you may purchase the Certification Guidelines and Learn How to Professionally Groom Cats, a Practitioners Guide together as a package. Study them at your own pace and in the privacy of your own home.
Once you have studied the material and feel that you are ready to take written exams, we can schedule them according to your needs. We can arrange for you to take the exams at tradeshows, your place of business, our headquarters and coming soon (online classes and exams). Upon successful completion of the written exams, the title "Cat Groomer I" will be awarded along with a "Cat Groomer I" Certificate of Achievement.
If you are already a dog groomer, build on the skills that you already have through your dog grooming experience. If you are new to the grooming industry, start fresh and begin an exciting career.
By continuing your education even further and becoming nationally recognized as a CMCG, you will be setting yourself apart from the average groomer by showing that you have a proven quality education and experience in the grooming and handling cats.
As a CMCG you are opening yourself up to more job opportunities, a higher pay scale and broadening your clientele base.
To help you establish yourself as a Certified Master Cat Groomer, we will upon your request, send a Letter of Recognition to your place of employment. Your employer will know first-hand that you have achieved the distinguished accomplishment of CMCG, a major milestone in the grooming industry.

An annual CMCG fee of $50.00 will be assessed in order to keep your status as an active CMCG, a PCGAA member and listing as a CMCG on our website.
