Not only are we theworld’s largest genetic registry of pedigreed cats, but we’re also the world’s largest registry of household pets.Household petswhich includes cats and kittens compete for the same titles and regional and international awards as pedigreed cats. TICA was the first association to register household pets as all cats are important to us!
TICA recognizes morebreedsthan the other registries and associations in the cat fancy. As a genetic registry, TICA welcomes new breeds including those that originated with wild blood. The world’s most popular cat – theBengal– originated with TICA. Other breeds that originated with TICA are the Sphynx, the Savannah, the Thai, and the Kurilian Bobtail.
TICA is the only registry in the cat fancy that continues to have steady growth in registrations, members and new clubs around the world. Hundreds of sanctioned clubs host shows around the world in our 13 regionsacross North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America. We ensure the future of the cat fancy through our Junior Exhibitorsprogram and by mentoring new exhibitors and breeders.
