The Professional Cat Groomers Association of America was
formed exclusively by dedicated Cat Grooming Professionals who have extensive experience, continued education, advanced certification and business savvy. The PCGAA has implemented a "
whole" approach to the grooming of cats. Professionally grooming cats is much more than a job, it's a challenging career that is
in demand. We understand the day in and day out struggles in your salon. There are the finicky kitties who love being pampered, and then there are the more challenging feline. We offer insight, experience and
humane techniques in handling the difficult cat. We know the tricks of the trade and want to pass on our knowledge to you!
We are kindred spirits who want to share our expertise and assist you along your way. Our organization is the first of it's kind designed by certified master cat groomers for groomers! PCGAA advises, educates and mentors those groomers who wish to add or increase the cat grooming segment of the grooming business in their careers.
Career minded individuals who strive to enhance their skills and talents through continuing education, mentorship by Certified Master Cat Groomers, career advisement and certification can find that the PCGAA is their own exclusive organization. We offer continuing educational seminars at grooming at our headquarters in Fairview Park, Ohio (a beautiful western suburb of Cleveland) at your salon, and offer at home study materials for you.
EXCITING NEWS: EDUCATIONAL UPDATE
We make becoming a Certified Master Cat Groomer (CMCG) fun and very easy! When it comes time for your testing, we can test you via Skype, Webcam or Video Tape. You can tape your grooming skills while preforming our requirements and send them to us! The written tests can be proctored in your city! How easy is that? No more expensive travel needed.
If you are interested in professionally grooming the regal feline, having grooming standards to work with and the mentorship of other cat grooming professionals to advise you along your way towards certification, to be a CMCG (Certified Master Cat Groomer) then the PCGAA is the professional organization for you!
